Oudtshoorn Homestay Accommodation

Oudtshoorn Homestay Accommodation is an owner run guest house and backpackers, and is situated in Oudtshoorn. This establishment is ideal for guests looking for a stopover, en route to various attractions.

Accommodation at the guest house comprises 4 double rooms and 1 Backpackers room. The rooms are equipped with double beds or bunk beds, and have either an en-suite or access to a shared bathroom.

Guests have access to a communal kitchen, and there are braai facilities to use as well. The establishment has an in-house housekeeper, who can assist with laundry services. Secure parking is available for vehicles.

We currently have water restrictions and guests are asked to use water sparingly.

Oppi Dam

Oppi dam is situated at the foot of the majestic Swartberg mountains, 14 km from Oudtshoorn en route to the world-famous Cango Caves. An awesome getaway spot for those seeking accommodation away from the city life.

Accommodation comprises 2 Chalets, 2 Cottages and 3 Camping Sites, suited to accommodate up to 72 guests in total. All units comes equipped with comfortable beds, a bathroom and some units come equipped with self-catering facilities.

On-site facilities include a swimming pool, a braai area and secure parking.

Nearby activities include horse riding, fishing, wine tasting and games drives.

Kareebos Wildreservaat

Kareebos Wildreservaat is situated just 20 km from Oudtshoorn, and is ideal for those who enjoy camping.

Kareebos Wildreservaat consists of a lapa with a built-in braai and a cooking area. Electricity, as well as ablution facilities with a warm shower, is available.

Guests please need to bring their own tents or caravans; caravans should preferably be high off the ground. Guests can also bring camp beds and put them on the lapa’s deck. Pets are unfortunately not allowed, unless they are lap dogs. Kareebos Wildreservaat reached by a gravel road.

Various walking and hiking trails are available and guests are welcome to bring their own bicycles. Guests can also relax on the lapa and enjoy the views of the Swartberge.

Spitskop Veldkamp

Spitskop Veldkamp is a very basic campsite on a farm on the R62, just outside of Oudtshoorn.

Ideal for die-hard campers, the site offers a flushing toilet and a braai area only. Guests need to bring their own cooking utensils as well as equipment needed for camping. Please note there is no running water at the site and guests need to bring their own water.

The 230-hectare farm has free-roaming game, offering guests a chance to get close to nature in complete privacy.

It is extremely important that campers realise that there is only a flush toilet and a braai. No drinking water. Please also keep the Karoo’s climate in mind. It is very cold or very hot.

This spot is extremely private and peaceful. Spitskop Veldkamp is for nature lovers and not for guests who like luxurious facilities.

Come and hear the call of a jackal and enjoy the exceptional view.

Knysna Pocket Breaks Unit 11

Knysna Pocket Breaks offers self-catering accommodation in the scenic holiday town of Knysna. It is located within a secure complex and offers self-catering accommodation for small groups or families.

This fully furnished unit has 2 well-appointed bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with a bunk bed. All linen and towels provided. The bathroom is fitted with bath over shower and a washing machine.

It also has a comfortable lounge with a flat-screen TV with DStv channels and comfortable seating for 4. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with fridge-freezer, microwave, stove, oven, crockery and cutlery. The private balcony offers lovely views of the garden and the surrounding area. There is an automatic washing machine in the bathroom. The apartments also include complimentary Wi-Fi, DStv and private parking.

The complex is conveniently located close to the Knysna Waterfront, which offers a variety of shops and restaurants for guests to explore. Visitors could also discover the many beaches on offer, or the attractions of the nearby Knysna River.

Meyers Corner

Meyers Corner is a charming holiday home offering accommodation Knysna, a premier holiday destination on the picturesque Garden Route. The quaint town features green mountainous landscapes contrasting with the glistening waters of the ocean, rivers, and lagoon.

The fully furnished house can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed while the other 2 bedrooms each have a double bed. There is a sleeper couch available in the living area. The first bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower while the second bathroom has a bath.

The kitchen is well-equipped to meet guests’ self-catering needs while there are 2 living areas available. The house also offers a TV with DStv, fireplace and exclusive access to the swimming pool.

Knysna offers nature trails, warm beaches, world-class golf courses, and some of the best shopping in the area.

26 Riverclub Villas

26 Riverclub Villas is a self-catering holiday unit located in The Riverclub, well known as wonderful family-friendly accommodation set in the heart of Plettenberg Bay. With the Piesang River fringing the resort and just a short walk from the beach, its large park-like gardens, huge shady trees and safe paved roads make it the ideal base for your holiday. Add to this is the 24-hour security, swimming pool, tennis courts and squash courts and you have a winner.

The unit is spacious and comfortable, with a large open plan living area, fully fitted kitchen and patio, with braai facilities, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom, with queen-size bed, has a door opening on to the patio, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, and there is a main bathroom fitted with a bath. This is a ground floor apartment.

All linen and towels are provided but guests are required to bring their own swimming towels. There is a TV with a DVD player, and the unit is wired for DStv which is available on request. Wi-Fi is an added bonus. There is a washing machine in the kitchen and tumble-dryer in the garage. There is both garage and outside parking. There is room for a small trailer. Sorry, no pets are permitted.

Louvain Guest Farm

Louvain Guest Farm is located on a working farm in the upper Langkloof valley between George and Uniondale in the Western Cape.

Louvain offers accommodation in a variety of different self-catering units and 7 en-suite guests rooms which are ideal for weddings, corporate functions, and team building. Camping facilities are also available. Guests are required to bring their own tents and camping equipment.

Activities on the farm include 4×4 trails, bird watching, mountain bike trails, stargazing, and hiking trails.

The Langkloof valley is 160 km in distance and stretches from Herold, a small village north of George, to Humansdorp near Port Elizabeth. The valley is an important, fertile, fruit growing region nestled between the Kammanassie and Kouga mountains on the north and the Outeniqua mountain range in the south.

Shepherds Tree Backpackers is nestled in a beautiful heritage building between the Knysna Lagoon and the N2, above the already popular Shepherds Tree Curio & Coffee Shop. The establishment offers a cottage-meets-quirky upmarket backpackers-style accommodation to traveller’s exploring the magical Eden District of Knysna.

Accommodation is available in the dorm room which is able to accommodate 6 guests on bunk beds. The establishment facilities include a spacious garden, free Wi-Fi access, secure parking, communal kitchen and braai facilities, and kids play area. Complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities are also provided.

Set in a prime location, Stilbaai Stilheuwels, is within walking distance, approximately 200m, from the beach and harbor. It is also close to Skulpiesbaai Nature Reserve.

This cluster home comprises 2 private and spacious rooms. Amenities include a communal kitchen equipped with fridges/freezers, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Outside, a large balcony offers limited sea views, and braai facilities are available in the garden. DStv Family viewing offers 75 channels.

There is no garage but parking is available at the back of the property. The property is built on 3 levels and has a number of staircases this is not suitable for small children or elderly individuals. Please note that the facilities are shared with the owner.

Yellow Woods Camps & Conferences

Yellow Woods Camps & Conferences is located 28 km outside the town of Great Brak River and 28 km from Mossel Bay.

Each room is equipped with 4 bunk beds, a shower, toilet, and basin. The rooms have each limited Wi-Fi connection.

There is ample parking space behind a secure gate and the premises is surrounded with electric fencing. Braai facilities are also available. An English breakfast is available every morning at an additional cost. Other facilities include a conference hall, dining hall and a coffee shop on the premises.

A 3-hour game drive can be arranged at the neighbouring farm Botlierskop Private Game Reserve.
