Louvain Guest Farm is located on a working farm in the upper Langkloof valley between George and Uniondale in the Western Cape.
Louvain offers accommodation in a variety of different self-catering units and 7 en-suite guests rooms which are ideal for weddings, corporate functions, and team building. Camping facilities are also available. Guests are required to bring their own tents and camping equipment.
Activities on the farm include 4×4 trails, bird watching, mountain bike trails, stargazing, and hiking trails.
The Langkloof valley is 160 km in distance and stretches from Herold, a small village north of George, to Humansdorp near Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). The valley is an important, fertile, fruit growing region nestled between the Kammanassie and Kouga mountains on the north and the Outeniqua mountain range in the south.

The Homestead, one of the original buildings of the farm, has been lovingly restored to take guests back in time. Luxury awaits guests in this spacious manor house with 4 bedrooms, 3 of which is en-suite. The house also features a fully equipped kitchen and a living room. Outside, there are braai facilities.

Goeie geriewe, heelwat om te doen (perdry, swem, stap, fietsry, motorfietsry, kuier, kamp, perdekarry, trou!). Naby George en die omgewing bied soveel aan. Die bestuur is uiters professioneel en besonder gasvry. Ons gaan terug om langer te kuier. Ons sonder graag die bestuurder, Michael, en sy werknemers uit vir uitstaande kliëntediens en ‘n fasiliteit wat klopdisselboom werk. En ook vir Lizé, wat die perdry en perdekar hanteer: ‘ n meester op haar gebied!

Die natuur en die omgewing is pragtig, Louvain is veral geskik vir mense wat wil stap, of fiets-, motorfiets- of perdry en vir funksies. Vir lantermyn verblyf sou ek die slaap- en kuierarea apart wou hê.

Louvain is ‘n baie lekker plek om by te kamp, daar is baie spasie om te stap en plek vir kinders om te speel. Ons het in ‘n tent gebly met ons seuntjie. Ons het egter vroeër huis toe gekom as gevolg van 3 dae se reën en wind.

Ek sal weer by die plaas wil gaan bly. Veral as ek met ‘n bergfiets hulle roetes kan ry. Ek was baie beïndruk met hoe netjies die kamers was. Ons het redelik laat aangekom by die plaas. So die kantoortjie was reeds toe, maar een van die werkers het ons baie vriendelik verwelkom. Ek sou net graag die WiFi password wou kry, aangesien my MTN nie sein gehad het nie. Ek het nie gedink om daarvoor te vra nie.

Ons verblyf in die pragtig-gerestoureerde ou plaashuis was heerlik. Ruim en volledig toegerus vir gesellige kuiers op die reuse stoep. Heerlike etes is bedien op versoek. Daar is ook ‘n kroeg met ‘n warm kaggelvuurtjie en lieflike swembad. Stilte, rustigheid en gasvryheid. Ons sal beslis weer kom!

Beautiful place nice open space for children to play and run wild only issue is that there are no shops close by, but perfect if you want to get away.
